Bret Abshire, MD FAANS

 

Dr. Bret Abshire, MD FAANSDr. Abshire was raised in Fallbrook and moved to Temecula after completing his Neurosurgical Training at the Cleveland Clinic and a Fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery in Tampa, Florida in 2000.  His neurosurgical interests involve revision spinal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and scoliosis surgery.

 

Dr. Abshire obtained his undergraduate degree from U.C. San Diego in 1990, and went on to obtain a Master of Science degree and Medical Degree from the Chicago Medical School in 1994.

 
Dr. Abshire is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society, Congress of Neurosurgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Western Neurosurgical Society.  Additionally, he serves on the Scientific Advisory Board at Alphatec Spine.

 

His hobbies include following Formula 1 racing, race car driving, golf, skiing, and spending time with his family.

 
 

Daniel Friedlich, MD FAANS

 

Dr. Daniel Friedlich, MD FAANSDr. Friedlich was born in Los Angeles and moved back to California after completing his Neurosurgical Training at Albany, New York in 2007.  His neurosurgical interests involve complex spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, and brain tumor surgery.

 

Dr. Friedlich graduated from Dartmouth College with Honors in New Hampshire in 1994, and went on to graduate from Medical School and Neurosurgical Residency at Albany Medical Center.  During his training, he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar and a Neurogenetics Fellow sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

  

Dr. Friedlich is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Riverside Medical Association.  He serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.

 

His hobbies include music composition and piano.

 
 

Gerald Oh, MD FAANS

 

Dr. Gerald Oh, M.D.Dr. Oh was born in Los Angeles and moved to Temecula after completing his Neurosurgical Training at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2017. His neurosurgical interests include brain tumor surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, complex spine surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
 
Dr. Oh obtained his undergraduate degree from U.C. Los Angeles in 2000, and then went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Medical Imaging Science and Medical Radiation Physics from Chicago Medical School in 2002 and 2003. He worked as a medical physicist at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in the Department of Radiation Oncology for 3 years before going to medical school.
 
Dr. Oh is Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of  Neurological Surgeons.
 
Dr. Oh was a competitive alpine ski racer as a junior and still enjoys skiing recreationally on his free time. He also loves to golf and spend time with his family and friends.

 
 

Tracey Anderson, NP

 
Tracey Anderson, NP

Tracey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Northern Illinois University and later obtained her nursing degree from Elgin Community College. She received her Masters of Science Degree from Depaul University in 2001 and completed her post-masters program in Acute Care in 2009 at St. Louis University. A featured speaker and author on a number of neurosurgical topics, Tracey has published and presented nationally and internationally.

 

Tracey is certified by the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing and American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.

 
 

Michelle Lancaster, PA-C

 
Michelle Lancaster, PA-CMichelle received an Associates in Science degree from Riverside Community College in 2010. She is board certified as a Physician Assistant by the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has co-authored a book chapter on neurologic work up in the Urgent Care setting and has spoken at national conferences about various spine related topics. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the California Association of Physician Assistants. Michelle enjoys spending time with her 2 children and their dog.
 
 

Arianna Arroyo, PA-C

 
Arianna Arroyo, PA-CArianna (Ari) received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from UCSD in 2017 and a Master of Science, Physician Assistant Studies from California Baptist University in 2021. She is board certified as a Physician Assistant by the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In addition to her neurotrauma and trauma surgery experience as a Physician Assistant, she brings experience as a licensed EMT and years working in the ED setting as a scribe. She is a member of the both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants. She is an avid golfer, having played since high school as well as a Golden Retriever enthusiast.
